Coconut vendor

Coconut Vendor ......this is another piece of Trinidad island life ,we no longer see its of the famed coconut vendors, that came into Port of Spain, mainly east indians with coconuts that they sold to passers by to drink the water from ...they cut them open so that many could eat the soft white jelly of the nut itself it was a treat, that many went for once in Port of Spain , these coconut carts ,were first seen in town, then they were to be found around the savannah. I remember as a little boy comming upon them pulled over on the side of the Queens Park savannah, with the donkeys at the time ,,, as the years went by the donkeys were replaced by trucks, then to this day they were replaced with fancy carts , no longer do we see many of them again ... in this painting Yuilles Printers ,is to be found in down town ,this was done from a photograph ...its 23x33 inches ... if interested i have it in my own personal art collection but may sell if the right person came along with the right offer ......
