Returning .....

Returning ... is my latest piece , in watercolour .... its of the caroni swamp lands and the returning scarlet ibis , that live and rest in those swamp lands , this swamp land is situated in Trinidad in the caribbean , and thousands of scarlet ibis make it their home throughout the year its also a breeding ground for them as well as a tourist and local beauty spot as the sun sets the ibis fly into the swamp from where they have been for the day , the mangrove is rich and dense so giving the bird a good home .... in this piece i gave some detailing to the mangrove however its a layering of washes that forms this painting the sky is roughly four colours in all to produce the effect i wanted hope that you enjoy it ...
